The last few months have passed in a blur, my head down working on the final preparation for the upcoming exhibition in September. Contemporary artist Kim Schoenberger has been mentoring me while I put together a body of work entitled ‘Lovingly Interrupted’ which will be shown along side Kim’s own established work ‘Expressions of Love II’. I feel immensely gracious to have this opportunity and petrified as well to really, truly have a body of work that will be in a public space, opening 14th September 3.30pm at Gallery 159, Payne Road, The Gap, Brisbane.
Tetsuya and Momoko Otani at Paper Boat Press Gallery
A highlight of the beautiful exhibition, I fell in love with so many pieces, it was the day of the opening and it looked like it was going to be a sell out show. Wonderful to see it up close and to have found the Paper Boat Press Gallery in real life, I have been following them on instagram for a while.
New Colour in my palette Indigo….. my latest addiction
Spending two days at Eudlo Town Hall with Jenai from Alchemist inside was an insight into the process of natural indigo dyeing. I couldn’t believe how lucky we are on the coast to have such a competent teacher around the corner from home. Cant wait to show you my new range that will be released early September…
A wonderful few months and the links to a few of my latest favourite places:
