Belonging - Embodiment of Landscape

Solo Exhibition - CURRENT SHOWING

Deeply listening to the more than human, using plant relationships and the natural world to investigate a misappropriated landscape. Anne explores the natural landscape and uses the  stillness created by deeply listening, to look deeper at the internal landscape for a universal understanding of identity, rites of passage, and the cycles of life. Belonging shares the wisdom of knowing sovereignty of self, belonging to place and the dance that these fundamental issues create in the sacred of the everyday. Using traditional craft practices Anne embodies the mnemonic wisdom of plants, re-imagining the women’s ceremonies and rituals of her European, pagan and witch ancestry.
